Talks Resume Between Province And OECTA

The Ford government is back at the bargaining table Wednesday to talk with 1 of the 4 teachers unions involved in the rotating one day strikes.

The mediator has called Education Minister Steven Lecce and the leaders of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association back to the bargaining table.

The clock is ticking as OECTA is set to join the other 3 unions for a full provincial walkout Friday effecting nearly 2 million students.

OECTA also announced rotating strikes beginning Monday the 24th if no deal is reached.
