It was another successful Red Kettle campaign for the Salvation Army in Kirkland Lake.

Pastor Robby Donaldson says this years total reached 53, 722 dollars, that’s 2400 more than last year.

He says it’s because of the people. “ It’s phenomenal, and because Kirkland Lake is a community. People stick together here and help each other and that is the reason”.

He says the money will be used for year round projects, starting with the Christmas hampers, they gave out 180 this year.

It also goes toward purchasing food for their food bank, and some will be used to send kids to camp in the Summer.
