Local High School Students Have Skills

 

The District School Board is sending out congratulations to all of the local students who competed in the recent Ontario Skills Competition event in Toronto.

They went up against the best in the province and 2 teams came away with a silver medal. 

From Englehart high School, Travis Cudney and Josh Marshall won the silver medal in carpentry.

The skills included general practice, blueprint reading, design/layout, construction, and assembly of project.

And a group from Kirkland Lake District Composite School brought home a silver in Robotics.

That team included Grant Morgan, Matthew Chodoriwsky, Katie Barber-Omerod, and Jack Woolridge.
