Pete Gilboe, chair of the volunteer committee, says this is the 34th year for the fundraising dinner and auction.
“We’re very fortune to have the Hilliardton Marsh project that was built here 25 years ago, and we’ve already got our money back from DU as it were,” Gilboe says. “The money that’s raised now goes to support the ongoing maintenance of not only that project, but dozens and dozens of other Ducks Unlimited Canada wetland conservation projects across Ontario.”
The Hilliardton Marsh Research and Education Centre provides a number of educational programs for children and families.
Friday’s event is being held at the Horne Granite Centre in New Liskard, starting at 5:30. Tickets are $50/person.
