It appears we are looking at blustery weather to wrap up 2019 and kick off 2020.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement warning us the ice pellets and snow will continue.

Meteorologist Steven Flisedder explains all.

It’s not looking like it will improve until sometime on Tuesday, so for Monday we are expecting a mixed bag of precipitation, so looking at a snow-ice pellet mix then overnight it will transition to snow. Then we are looking at winds gusting to 50 or 60 km/h. “

He says there is always the risk of power outages the longer the ice stays around so be prepared.

As far as New Years Eve travel weather he says it is too early to tell.
